Lord booked Britannia Row Studios in September 1981 to start recordings for a new solo thing, which came to a temporary halt when Whitesnake started sessions in October. The solo record was later finished during February/March 1982. A suggestion: listen to Vicki Brown on "Say It's Allright" (...and then she started singing! Wow!).
