Sometime during 1983 The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & Friends People involved The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra together with: Don Airey (kbr); Keith Airey (gtr); Peter Auty (vcl); Richard Bailey (drm); Graham Bonnett (vcl); Robert Cohen (cll); Kim Goody (vcl); Chaz Jankel (mrm/btr); John McKenzie (bss); Robin Le Mesurier (gtr); Gary Moore (gtr); Neil Murray (bss); Ian Paice (drm); Raff Ravenscroft (sxp); Gerald Ruddock (trp); Raymond Simmons (trp); Stuart Taylor (prc); Chris Thompson (vcl); Roy Wood (vcl). The RPO together with a set of rock musicians recorded some Police covers. Paice appears on "Truth Hits Everybody", "Arrested", "Message In A Bottle" and "Invisible Sun". The album was later rereleased under a new name: Classic Police.
